Tuesday Tidbits

God Made Moms To Teach...Sons and Daughters What's Appropriate Dress

This tidbit is a result of something I witnessed on yesterday and something I talk about with my oldest son all the time. On my way to work I pass an alternative school so it's a habit for me to take notice of the kids going to school. Well on yesterday I witnessed two young girls being gawked by two delivery men. I was staring at them too, their clothes and their choice of hair got them extra attention. Both young ladies looked to be between 16 and 17 years old but judging their choice of dress and hair(wigs) they could easily be mistaken as women above twenty-five. The average girl these days are well developed because of the extra hormones they get through the food we eat, so they look older then what they are. But why do they dress so provocative to go to school? Why wear 25 inch long weaves, 5 1/2 inch stilettos, and skintight pants to school or even to work because there are older women sporting the same dress to work. All that extra is so distracting and sad! What happen to hiding or covering up your goodies? I have three boys so I don't have to dress young girls but we got to teach our girls as well as our boys how to dress. Underwear for one should not be seen and I'm seeing too many people showing off their underwear. It's called underwear because it's suppose to be hidden under clothes. I may be old fashioned but it's not a good look. I always thought the less skin you showed the more mysterious you were, gave people something to wonder about. Why show everything to everybody? So parents if you are still buying clothes for your kids, please buy clothes that cover up their bodies, less skin has always been more. And some skins don't need to be seen at all. And to my sons keep your zippers and your pants up!

Be blessed and encouraged today, it's your choice. ~Delphine

Titus 2:1-7 You must teach what is in accord with sound doctrine. Teach the older men to be temperate, worthy of respect, self-controlled, and sound in faith, in love and in endurance.Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good. Then they can train the younger women to love their husbands and children, 5to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God.Similarly, encourage the young men to be self-controlled. In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness 8and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned, so that those who oppose you may be ashamed because they have nothing bad to say about us.
