God Made Moms To Teach....Followers of Christ Have Responsibilities

I had a co worker to pass from complications due to cancer treatments this past weekend. It saddens me to know someone has passed on and left a family behind but as a Christian, I believe he has just moved on to a better life. The truth of the matter is, I wasn't one of those who helped him to get to a better life and I had worked close with him for over 7 years. Not once had I asked him the simple question of have you ever accepted Jesus Christ as your personal savior. But thank God for having another watchmen or Christian co-worker in place. One of my other coworkers lead him to Christ just a week before he died. She lead him through the sinner's prayer and he accepted Christ right in her office. It didn't take much, just a quick "yes" or "no" question, and directions on how to accept Christ. It saddens me to think about how many people and paths that I have let cross me and I not ask "are you in the body" or "have you accepted Jesus Christ as your personal savior", makes me search myself and question am I attempting to do what I should be doing as a follower of God's word and of Christ.

Be blessed and encouraged today, it's your choice. ~Delphine

God Made Moms To Teach Their Children…Live To Give

(These are not my words; they are from Joel Osteen)

God wants you to be happy! He wants you to live a satisfied life. Jesus said, “I have come that you might have and enjoy life, and have it to the full – unit it overflows!” A major key to enjoying life is that we live to give.

True happiness and true fulfillment come when you give your life in some way to others. God promises to multiply back to you what you give. When you step out in faith, you open a door for God’s hand of blessing to move on your behalf. It’s the simple principle of sowing and reaping.

God has a specific plan for every one of our lives. His plan involves reaching out and touching other people with His love, mercy and compassion. Ask the Lord to show you how you can share His love with others by giving of your time, your talents and your resources today.

Be blessed and encouraged today, it's a choice. ~Delphine

Powerful Prayer from Stormie Omartian

I pray that my son/daughter will not inherit any bondage from his/her earthly family, but will "inherit the kingdom prepared for [him/her] from the foundation of the world"(Matthew 25:34). Thank You, Jesus, that in You the old has passed away and all things are new.

God Made Moms To Teach Their Children....There Is More To Being A Christian

Friends, there is more to being a Christian than going to church or reciting scriptures but many of today's Christians don't understand that. We who consider ourselves Christians or children of God should use Jesus as our example. Jesus never had to go about disclosing who he was, his actions did the talking for him. There were also times that God Himself spoke clearly stating that Jesus was indeed His son. There is plenty for us to walk away with from the bible because HIS word is a guide for those who believe. But why do we choose to just walk away with the small things and expect to conquer or gain big things. God's word is and was a way of life for many. God also gave us free will and it is up to each individual to accept what He offers so freely and that's FREEDOM in knowing HIM through His word. There is a scripture in 2 Corinthians 3:17 that reads Now the Lord is the Spirit and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. I am glad to say that I have His spirit and that I recognize that it is His spirit that offers me the freedom to live as a child of God no matter what any other man might say or think. Christ does not place us in bondage, men and traditions of men do.

Be blessed and encouraged today, it's a choice. ~ Delphine

Romans 8:6 The spirit itself bears witness with our Spirit that we are children of God.

2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Hilarious Commercial

I found this commercial on the web and it is HILARIOUS. The poll question was if we thought the commercial was insulting to black women. My thoughts are "no", but it is a reality check for many of us.
