That Boost to Get You Through

God Made Moms To Teach Their Children...Discipline And Wisdom Go Hand and Hand

When we display any type of discipline to listen, to observe, and to learn , we are disciplined enough to do what's right even when we want to do wrong. When we make the decision to do what is good or right for ourselves/families, no matter what it looks like at the time or feels like at the time we are using wisdom. Wisdom can get us through the long haul. That's why I think discipline and wisdom go hand and hand. It takes a disciplined person to be an example of wisdom to their kids and family.

Be blessed and encouraged today, it's your choice. ~ Delphine

Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline.

James 1:4-6 Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.

Here's our good read for the month from Mr. Steve Harvey. It's been listed as one of the best sellers so I'm willing to give it chance and being that I was able to borrow it from a girlfriend, it's a great pick. Happy reading ladies.

Knowledge Dropping by Blaqueindigo

Ladies, I posted one of Blaqueindigo's videos several months ago and found her videos to be thought provoking. Here's a recent video of her encouraging us to use logic and common sense. Enjoy the video. We all need to be reminded every now and then.

Happy Earth Day

Acknowledge the beauty surrounding you by thanking God for what He created. In the bible , Genesis 1 describes how the earth was formless and empty until God spoke. Think of all the power He has just to be able to speak stuff into existence. Take a true look around today and continue to bless Him for all the things we take for granted -- like the air we breath. Thank God for being among the living because the living can still consciously enjoy all that the earth provides.

Happy Earth Day.

God Made Moms To Teach...Great Is God's Mercy

My family had a personal breakthrough this month. A breakthrough that only God our Father could have provided. I praise God for answered prayers and for Him delivering answers in HIS own time. My tidbit and inner shout this morning is in acknowledgment of God's mercy towards us. God is forever faithful towards us even when we are not faithful towards HIM. I bless God this morning for HIS grace and HIS mercy. I even ask Him within this post and out in the open to forgive me for ever doubting HIM and HIS power. Many of you who REALLY know me, know of the struggles I've endured and how God has always provided endurance, grace, favor, and mercy. HE has always orchestrated a way of escape. An escape only HE could provide. Again, I bless God for HIS love, HIS kindness, HIS faithfulness, HIS mercy, HIS grace, and all HIS empowerment. I bless God and praise Him today from the deepest part of my heart, the place where fear and doubt has resided. I bless Him for empowering me to search my own heart, I bless Him for being a God of second, third, and fourth chances. I bless Him for loving me and my family. A family that goes beyond the blood that runs through our veins, a family that consists of praying friends. I bless Him for the courage to love and trust others in spite of. I bless Him for being omnipresent and I bless Him for the daily evidence of HIS love and faithfulness that I sometimes ignore. I also thank Him for Jesus, the Christ. The one who shed His blood for me and you. So in closing, to God Be All The Glory for all the good and bad experiences that draw us closer to Him.

Be blessed and encouraged today, it's has always been a choice. ~Delphine

Ephesians 3:8(KJV) To me, who am less than the least of all the saints, this grace was given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,

Revelation 22:21 (KJV) The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God's people. Amen.

God Made Moms To Teach Their Children...How and Why Christians Celebrate Certain Holidays

This past Easter holiday was a battle for me after I learned the origins of the holiday we Christians celebrate and call Easter. I received an email about three weeks ago explaining how Easter and some of the ways we celebrated it came into existence. I am purposely not going to post the origins story of Easter or the email I received in hopes that you would go out and research the holiday for yourselves. As a Christian, I do recognize the Resurrection of Jesus Christ and the significance it plays in my life. It is because of HIS crucifixion and HIS resurrection that I am able to live today. But I do not plan on recognizing or celebrating Easter the way I have in the past. For over a year now, I've been on a journey seeking God's truth for those that believe in HIM and not what's just been past down over the years without any verification or confirmation. I prayed for a closer relationship with the Father and with the development of that closer relationship some wisdom has come and I pray it continues to come. Friends, me sharing my journey is not about proving anybody or any religious practice wrong,I just want to know that what I know is the truth -- HIS truth. Once I know and understand HIS truth, I am free to do what comes natural and to do what is forever pleasing in God's sight.

God Made Moms To Teach...Be Grateful For What You Have

Good Day Ladies! I just returned from a beautiful cruise with my husband to Cozumel in celebration of my 40th birthday. It was very relaxing and the weather was perfect. I thought I would share some of the things I observed while on the cruise and while in Mexico. I observed people from different cultures and classes enjoying each others company. I observed people from different countries serving some ungrateful American families with a smile. I observed a culture of people going without the everyday luxuries we take advantage of. I observed some people spending their hard earned money to make quick money. I observed people working hard and not complaining about others being too lazy, too messy, or too stingy to leave a tip. I also observed people enjoying life with the simplest of things. I observed life in motion outside of the United States and I can't say we live better lives in comparison to others outside the US, because we do tend to be so ungrateful for all the good things we do have at times. So my tidbit and plea for today is to be grateful for what you do have.
