Christmas Wrapping Paper

Over the weekend I found some wrapping paper with brown people on them. I was so excited and even more excited when I found out whose line of paper it was. T.D Jakes has his own line of wrapping paper designed with us in mind. I found it at Walmart and encourage everyone to go out and get some. You can save it for next year's wrapping if you've already wrapped your gifts this year.

Good Read Of The Month

Jennifer Baszile's mother and father didn't grow up having everything, but, like most parents do, they worked to make sure their children would. As soon as they could, they moved their family to the California suburb of Palos Verdes, even if it meant they had to make longer commutes to work. Jennifer and her sister Natalie attended the best schools in the area, and their parents expected them to work hard and eventually go to college.

That's nothing out of the ordinary, except that to the Basziles' mainly white neighbors, the family was strange, an aberration, and they did not belong in the neighborhood. Soon after moving, someone scrawled a racist note on their sidewalk. Another night, a vandal snuck into the family's courtyard and painted their fountain black. Mr. and Mrs. Baszile, no strangers to racism, refused to get emotional; they simply cleaned the sidewalk and made a stance not to leave the neighborhood.

God Made Moms To Teach Their Children....To Be The Bigger Person

Almost lost a friend today because I was ready to READ her and leave her for dead but because I'm bigger than that I gave her a pass. Some times people dish stuff that they definitely could not handle if it was given back. I listened to that small still voice and spared her a ripping because she didn't deserve the emotional hurt my words would have cause her and her broken ego. Thank God for His grace and I thank HIM that I am not where or what I use to be. So glad I'm conscience enough to know that the BIGGER person gains much. How wonderful to be able to pass this on to my kids. Teaching them to take the high road to to be the bigger person, could save them, their friends, and their future spouses a lot of unnecessary heartaches and headaches.

Be blessed and encouraged, it's a choice. ~Delphine

James 1:19 My dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry,

Proverbs 11:12 A man who lacks judgment derides his neighbor, but a man of understanding holds his tongue.

Proverbs 18:21 The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.
