Do not owe anyone anything-except to love one another. For the one who loves another has fulfilled the law. I may be using this scripture out of context but the way I'm choosing to use it makes sense to me. With Christmas around the corner and the economy in the state it is in, I think it is a good scripture to remember. Christmas shopping and giving can be depressing and stressful for people who don't have the finances to afford the not so inexpensive gifts they want to give to others. I decided a couple of months ago that I was going to be frugal this Christmas. I chose to be frugal so I could give to everyone I usually give to and a few others. I also reminded myself that it is a choice to give on Christmas not a mandate. So friends let us make it known to our children, our families, and our friends that if they don't receive a Christmas package from us, that the package could not contain or hold the love that we have for them everyday of the year. And ladies as we continue our holiday shopping these next couple of weeks, remember the part of the scripture that says "owe no man any thing" and that includes the "credit card" man. We can show plenty of love if we have no debt.
Be blessed and encouraged today, it's your choice. ~ Delphine
