God Made Moms To Teach Their Children...The Meaning of Writing The Vision
We have all heard the scripture from Habakkuk 2 about God answering the prophet Habakkuk's question about the suffering of Judah by telling him to write the vision and make it plain. Just in case you don't remember the scripture, Habakkuk is told to write the prophecy of events and what God spoke to him so it won't be forgotten and he's told to make the writing plain so any and everyone who reads it can understand how his cry/prayer was answered. I think from the way I have heard it in the past, it may have been taken out of context or I heard it wrong, but being told to write the vision and make it plain is very powerful. We can do just that by writing our career/personal goals down, keeping a diary, keep journals of our prayers, organizing our bank statements, and by arranging our liquid assets. I believe this is part of writing the vision. For example, it could be your vision of getting a higher degree or starting a different job by going back to school, a vision of losing weight by jotting down what you eat and how much you exercise or how much weight you've lost, a vision of achieving finical freedom by keeping a spread sheet/record of your debit and credit. You writing down and acting on all the steps to reaching your goals, makes it simple and plain for you and others who share the same vision. Hence, your writing the vision and making it plain. Ladies, God forbid that I've misread, mislead or misinterpreted what I've read because that is not my intention. This is just my understanding of the scripture after I read it in it's entirety. Read it for yourselves because as part of the scriptures says, "people parish for a lack of knowledge". I'm just trying to get a better understanding of what I've been taught and of what I'm learning to give my children a better understanding of what I know to be in God's word .
Be blessed and encouraged, it's your choice.~Delphine
Habakkuk2:2
And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.
Hosea 4:6
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
