Tuesday Tidbits

God Made Moms To Teach Their Children....That HIS Mercy Is New Each Morning.

How many times should we be willing to forgive someone in just one day? Before I can attempt to answer my own question I must be honest and admit that it has taken me sometimes days/weeks/months/years to forgive but I am yet a work in progress. Ladies, in the bible Jesus answered Peter's question of how many times should he forgive with, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times”. That is a whole lot of forgiveness to give but do we consider how much it is when we are the ones needing forgiveness. We readily seek mercy when we want and need forgiveness, pleading our case to the Lord to have mercy on us and our souls. The bible also says that God's mercy is new every morning, “Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning”. Wow! We wake up each morning because HIS mercy kept us through the night, and we get a fresh dose to carry us through another day and night. You may be wondering why I'm using portions of scriptures to bring home why our kids should know God's mercy is new each day, it's because the scriptures before the scriptures of HIS daily dose of mercy says "It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed because his compassions fails not. All tied together we need HIS mercy each day, just like we need to forgive and be forgiven so much each day, if we didn't have HIS mercy or have HIS forgiveness -- many of us including our children would cease to exist. So let's jump the gun and teach our children while they are yet still young what we already know, that HIS grace and HIS mercy are new each day because we need it, just like we need HIS forgiveness each day.

Be blessed and encouraged this year it's your choice. ~ Delphine
